How do you fill out online forms that open in adobe acrobat?

Kathy K asked:

At my job we get all our medical forms online–When we go into the site it opens the forms in adobe—So before i print out, is there a way i can fill out my information before i print out? Otherwise i have to fill out by hand cause there are no type writers anymore?
